Use the "Convert" command to keep the current files on the drive.
A NTFS file system allows files that are larger than 4 GB. On Fat32, the file size limit is 4GB.
No harm in keeping it formatted as Fat32 if you don't need to put files larger than 4GB onto it.

Hi All, I have an HP Pavillion a1540n running XP MCE 2005 on 250GB HDD. The
HDD has 2 volumes: HP PAVILLION(C:) and HP RECOVERY(D:). Can anyone tell me
why the C: drive uses NTFS and D: drive uses FAT32? Could/should I change D:
to NTFS safely without losing the ability to
recover and are there pros and cons for doing so? Thank you for any light
you can shed on this matter!
