Re: Media Center doesn't give me the option to select anything but "antenna" as a signal source. :(

Yes, during the manual setup, you should be asked about the source.

I'm having a hard time believing this is the Tuner. I'm on my 3rd one now. Each of them has the same problem. The latest one is approved for Media Center and Vista x64. (It's a Kworld USB ASTC TV Stick). When I hook it up, Media Center will only have a signal type of "Antenna" and won't let me change to anything else. If I actually do hook up an antenna to it it'll work. However, using the ArcSoft software, I can see all the cable channels fine.

One guess is that there is some configuration step on original setup that I specified antenna in or something? Perhaps KWorld is false in saying that it is "Fully Compatible with Media Center".

I really don't want to attempt to get and try a 4th one...

Any suggestions here? :)

Again:
Windows Vista Ultimate x64
Plenty of power/RAM
kworld USB ATSC TV Stick

Thanks in advance!

This is my second TV tuner that I'm trying to get working. It is a pinnacle PCTVHD pro stick that does ATSC, NTSC, and clear QAM. My system is a 64-bit Vista Ultimate with plenty of power.

Anyhoo, I'm going crazy trying to set it up. The software it came with can use it fine, but not Media Center (which pinnacle claims is compatible).

Here's what I get when I run the TV Signal setup wizard:

Confirm Your Region --> Download TV Setup Options (takes a few seconds) --> Automatic TV Signal Setup (I select "I will manually configure my TV signal") --> Guide download and terms of service --> Enter zip code (98002) --> Download TV Program Guide --> Digital TV Antenna Strength...

At this point I'm wondering why did it think I have a digital antenna attached to it? I didn't select anything. If I go back a few steps, I see a different screen in the Guide section that says "Select TV Signal Provider". All that is there is "Antenna".

How can I tell Media Center that I have analog and digital cable as my signal type?

Thanks in advance to whomever responds! I'm definitely going insane!
