Per CSM1:
Seems to me Vista would be the easy way to go for a Digital only Media
Center.
Probably, if it's just for a Media center.
But I've tried Vista on a neighbor's PC and found it tb a
turnoff.
Lotta fancy-smancy stuff like translucent windows... and I guess
the scalable graphics is good for somebody who does a lot of that
stuff... but I couldn't find any substance that made my use of
the PC better - and the UI is different enough tb a hassle when
hopping form an XP box to Vista and back repeated.... also it's
got to use more MIPs.
Lastly, I do application development for a living and think
there's something tb said for running the same OS as my clients.
(actually 98% one very large client).
When the client's change to Vista, I guess I'll change - but my
hope is that they'll stay away from Vista for a long time - or
until something better comes out.
