I recently installed an AM2 2.8ghz black edition cpu into my media center pc, (2005 edition, NOT vista).

As soon as I did, the Media Center Receiver Service Stopped, My Zune Network Sharing Service Stopped, I got these messages every 5 seconds, and Dr. Watson.exe kept quitting. I know it has something to do with my hardware upgrade, but I'm stumped and cant find any help online. Any thoughts?

Athlon x2 Windsor 3800+ cpu (old)

Athlon Brisban Black edition 5400+ dual core (new)

In recent past days, AMD CPUs & motherboards required specific drivers for some reason that I've now forgotten.

I have no idea if that is still true or if it applies to you, but I'd suggest Googling for AMD CPU Drivers or some such.

It's a shot in the dark, but I hope it helps.
