Try this:-
In the Start Search box type in:-
%SystemRoot%\ehome\ehshell.exe and press the Enter Key.
Does it launch Media Center?
If it does then create a shortcut of the same.

Thanks for the idea. Unfortunately, I had 'System Protection' turned off, so don't have any restore points. I have the Vista DVD that came with my computer. Can I re-install only Media Center using that somehow? I couldn't find a way to remove/add it under "Control Panel / Programs and Features"..
Thanks,
Mark

You may try System Restore.

Media Center won't start. I double click the shortcut, and it does a short hourglass, and then nothing. No error messages, nothing... It was working yesterday, and that was when I added a new extender (xbox 360). I've rebooted, and tried turning on/off the extender to see if that made a difference, but it won't start, and doesn't give me any clues why not. I'm running Vista Home Premium. Can I re-install Media Center somehow? Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Mark
