Re: Loss of Signal in MCE

Yes I can play DVD in Media center.
I installed the card in my machine and started to using them.
I didn't configure to use analog or digital.
Could you please tell me how to configure only analog signal in MCE.
In pinnacle TV pro setting I see

PCTV HD Analog is checked
PCTV HD Digital Antenna (ATSC) is also checked
PCTV HD Digital Cable (Clear QAM) is also checked.
Do I need to uncheck ATSC and QAM settings?

Thanks for your help

So is the Cyberlink decoder selected as the preferred decoder?
Can you play a DVD in MC? If yes then the preferred decoder should also work
with your OTA ATSC tuner on your Pinnacle card/
Which tuner from your Pinnacle card did you configure the analog tuner or
the digital tuner?
Since the card is a hybrid tuner card which means that both tuners can not
be use concurrently MC will only allow you to configure one of them.

Hi Jaime,
Yes I have windows xp3 with MCE 2005 roll2 version. Not vista.
TV line is connected thru direct cable. No setup box
Yes only one tuner in my machine. If I go to device manager tuner devices
is
working properly.
When I run DVD decoder checkup utility from Microsoft I have these
results:
1. Cyberlink Video/SP decoder is showing green
2. Pinnacle MPEG2 decoder is showing red
3. VOB Mpeg2 decoder is showing red
4. Pinnacle MPEG2/AVC Multiplexer - red
5. Pinnacle MPEG Adjust - red
6. Pinnacle MPEG2 Splicer - red

I could watch in Pinnacle TV-Pro center software provided by Pinnacle.

Thanks

Do we assume the XP version of MCE and not Vista?

How is the signal connected?

Are you saying that when you run the MCE Signal Setup it finds the card
and
signal, but not when you run MCE?

Is this the only tuner in the system?

What DVD decoder is installed?
