Re: My TV not working - I think memory overflowed

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Your other alternative is to contact the manufacturer. And get a repair.

I'm not comfortable doing a clean install. I'm worried that I will be
prevented from doing so. I tried to do an upgrade and was blocked. They
said that I need permission from the manufacturer. I am hoping that
someone
will be familiar with this error and will have a fix.

In that case you may have to do a Clean install of your OS.
Something is really screwed up. A clean install may be the only fix.

How to do a clean install.

That didn't fix the problem. I am able to go into the Settings section
and
increase the recording space, but I still can't watch or record TV. I
think
some file within media center still thinks that I don't have enough
space
to
record. Everytime I go into My TV, the system hangs and I have to end
the
program.

Please help me. I love my windows media center, but not long ago,
the
TV
stopped working. I noticed it happened when it was trying to record
a
long
tennis match (over 6 hours). Unfortunately, I couldn't get in to
reset
my
memory allocation or to delete recorded TV files. I found the
recorded
TV
files on the computer and deleted them. I also deleted the folder
they
were
in hoping that Media Center would reset. However, it still doesn't
work.
I
think it thinks there is no space to record. There must be some
sort
of
file
that needs to be reset, replaced or deleted.

Can anyone please help me? Thanks in advance.
- David

Look at the setting for recorded TV storage.

Start MCE interface(10ft) > Settings > TV > Recorder > Recorder
Storage.

Choose the Drive and Maximum TV limit.

You also get a report of the space available for TV recording.
