I have Vista 32 Ultimate and a set of 5.1 surround headphones , I also have
an ASUS Xonar D2 sound card.

In my Vista MC settings I can set up 5.1 speakers and the headphones set up
fine , I hear ALL speakers.

BUT , in TV settings there is only Stereo and SAP , when i select Stereo it
only plays through the side speakers properly the center , surround and bass
are very faint.

ALL the settings in both my sound cards CP and the Vista Sound CP are set
correctly and I get 5.1 in games DVDs.

Is there any way to make my TV upscale to 5.1?

Isn't the TV channel being broadcast in stereo? Some programmes may use Dolby Surround but that is
still broadcast as two channels & needs to be decoded by the amplifier.
