Re: Does Media Center support analog?

I have the KWorld USB Stick hybrid. With the software that
came with it, I can get both analog (NTSC) and digital (ATSC)
over-the-air channels from the antenna. Media Center only picks
up the ATSC digital channels. This was my initial setup - with
antenna connection.

My next move was to configure the tuner connected to my
basic cable. First, I configured the software that came with it.
It detected all the analog channels available from the basic
cable. Very nice. Next, I tried to configure Windows
Media Center with the basic cable connection. Windows
Media Center always downloads the digital ATSC channels
available in my area code! Where can I tell Windows
Media Center that the tuner is now using the basic cable
connection???

Thanks in advance.

Some hybrid USB tuners only have MC compatible drivers for the ATSC tuner
since the tuner does not have an analog encoder chip.
What make/model tuner do you have?
Also MC will not support both tuners on a hybrid card since they can not
be used concurrently.
Cable service is cable service and both analog and digital channels are
present on the wire.

Hello! I bought a usb tv tuner and it only supports NTSC and ATSC.
I tried to setup Media Center in my Vista Ultimate PC but MC only
tries to setup ATSC channels! Well, the tuner is connected to a basic
cable which has analog cable only (maybe there are QAM signals, too).

I'm lost! How can I configure Media Center to receive analog signal from
the cable?

Thanks in advance. I'm new to Media Center. I tried to avoid media
center because I don't like the interface. I only do multimedia on my
PC when I watch some clips from the internet. I watch dvd from my
entertainment center.
