Installed VISTA now need to go back to XP Media Center Edition

I upgraded my computer to VISA Business. With this version I can not connect
to the network without a drive designation which I need to be able to do, so
I need to go back to XP Media Center Edition 2005 that was pre-installed on
my computer. When I boot the computer I get the options to start with VISTA
or another operation system. When I choose the other operating system it
puts me into the recovery system menu, which is fine, I don't mind doing
that, except that it keeps asking me which windows install I want to log
into, so I choose C:\ Windows, then it asks for my administrator password, I
enter the password I have set up for my windows login and that doesnt work,
so I went into the main setup and put in a admin password there, that doesnt
work. How do I get my computer BACK to the XP Media Center Edition. Oh yeah
I have tried the recovery disk I made, it says that it is the wrong version
or version conflict and restarts the computer. UGH
.
