I assume you are trying to use IR receiver built into the nMediaPC box?
It is probably not compatible with MCE, you need to attach an actual MCE IR receiver via USB to the PC.

Dear Reader,
Where to find the driver for the eHome Infrared Transceiver. The Win
MCE remote does not work and WinXP MCE 2005 Device Manger puts the
yellow question mark on the transceiver.
This in a new installation.
All WinXP updates have been installed.
Attempted, from Device Manager, to update the driver via the hardware
wizard, I've put, in turn, all three of the WinXP MCE discs in the DVD
drive bay giving the wizard the chance to spot the driver... no luck.
All other WinXP functions seem to be working OK. No other missing
drivers noted in Device Manager.
So, as mentioned, WinXP MCE 2005 with all updates
The box is an nMediaPC with MS MCE IR receiver/blaster bud and remote.
Any other information needed?
Your assistance will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Michael
