Hi..
Thank you for the reply, but there are no Rundll32 items in msconfig > Startup.

Click the Startup tab and look for lines starting Rundll32 and uncheck the offending entry (if any).

Hi.
I'm experiencing a very weird, but annoying problem.
When I try to 'Apply' any screensaver, I get a pop-up (the process is dwwin) saying "Run a DLL as an App has encountered a problem and needs to close". The 'Properties' windows freezes, and if I press the 'x' it asks me if I want to 'End Now' rundll32.exe.
In the past 2 months or so, sometimes it would work, sometimes it would give me the message from above, but now it always gives me the message.
In addition, if I try to right-click on a file, go to 'Open With' and 'Choose Program...", only trying to select a program from that list (by clicking on any program, such as 'Notepad') presents me with the same pop-up: "Run a DLL as an App has encountered a problem and needs to close". It freezes before I even press 'Apply' or 'OK'.
These are not huge problems for me right now, because I can do my stuff and just ignore them, but I'm not sure if they could mess up something else.
Can somebody please advise me as to what I might do to take care of the rundll32 annoyances?
Thanks in advance.
