Re: Tuner failure in Vista MC?

Ok so this is what is "running" while live tv is on. ehRecvr and ehSched.
ehstart is stopped. while looking through my problem reports i noticed that
the MC Host Module stopped working. Could this be part of the problem? and
if so is there a fix out there for it?

Are you saying it is set to automatic however it is not running. Automatic
means that it should start automatically when you boot your system.
When watching Live TV does ehrcvr show as running in task manager?

well I can watch "live" tv on both tuners in spite of the reciver service
not
being set to start it is however set to (automatic). any clues as to why
I'm
still having problems?

It certainly good since that is the service that gets that enables MC to
receive the input from the tuner driver.

Yes, and they had. But the Reciver service for some reason dosen't
want
to
start. Could this be the problem?

Did you reboot after the changes and check to see if the services had
started?

No dice. I went in and reset the Windows Media Center Scheduler as
well
as
the Windows Media Center Reciver to (automatic) and started both.
Went
to
work hopfull for success, but to my dissapointment the same tuner
failure
was
blamed for my shows not recording. So now what? I have run Media
Center
for
over 2 years in both it's xp and vista versions and have not had
this
problem
before. Any other Ideas?

Start>Run>type in:services.msc>ok

Now scroll down to Windows Media Center Scheduler.Make sure that
this
service has started. The default Stratup type is Manual.

So I just built a new box and instaled Vista Home Premium, every
thing
runs
great except for the fact that when ever I schedule a program to
record
I get
a tuner failure. My nVidia dual tv ntsc works fine if I watch
live
tv
or
record on the fly, but when ever I try to schedule a program it
fails.
Same
thing on my Ultima ATSC-LGMT Digital TV tuner. Works fine with
live
stream,
tuner failure when ever I schedule to record. I updated the
drivers
for both
devices. Any advice?
