Hi Todd,

Thanks for the reply. I got it working in the end. There was some leftover
McAfee software on the computer and once i ran the clean up tool from
McAfee
I've been able to get past this stage.

I now have another odd one though! Now both MCE and also Sharing from WM
works with the 360, however when I end a connection of either it will not
connect again until I reboot the MC PC. I found a message in the Event log
about not being able to log a user off because of registry changes or
something and downloaded the User Profile Hives tool (or something like
that)
which logs the user out but this hasn't fixed it. No other errors in there
that i can see.

Any ideas?

What is the specific text for the cannot connect message? Also, if you
reboot both your PC and your Xbox, is it able to reconnect? Finally, if
you
look in the Application, System, Media Center, and Security Event Viewer
logs (right click Computer --> Manage), are there any errors that
correspond
to the time that you attempted to reconnect to your PC?

Hi,

I have a really odd problem with setting my 360 up as a MCE extender.
I can successfully run the setup program which leaves the Xbox
connected to the computer and can stream pictures, music etc... It is
all fine until i disconnect and reconnect, then i get a message saying
that it cannot connect!

The only way this goes away is by re-installing and is clearly not an
option.

I run Peerguardian but this has been disabled and Comodo firewall
which has also been disabled. Are there other applications that may
affect this? Any Spyware apps? The fact that i can get a connection in
the setup makes me think that if the PC initiates the connection then
all is fine, however if the 360 does no joy.

Thanks in advance for any advice!!

Joel.
