More clarification: I'm trying to upgrade to WMP 11.

From within MCE the about says I have MCE 2004 V5.1.2600.2180.
From the system properties it says I have:
Microsoft Windows XP
Media Center Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 2

I need to have MCE 2005 to get WMP 11. Any ideas that will not require me
getting MCE 2005 from who knows where the he!! I'd get it from?

You can buy the Windows Media Center 2005 OEM from several places that sell
Windows software.

Newegg may be one of the lowest prices.
