NO- I wanted to rip and burn a CD in a CDA format and instead it is being
duplicated in a WMA format....Microsoft says something changed and they
cannot help me..
Can I uninstall Media Player and then download it from Microsoft or what?

I guess you wanted to mean CDA to WMA or, CDA to WAV conversions.If so:-
