Re: Xbox 360 cant find my pc on my home network

you unplugged the other cab.e to the router, yes?
and you then set the network to private?

please try again. if it fails, please look in the event viewers and
post any errors.

tried both ethernet ports on the motherboard now and still the tests fail.
also a direct connection to the xbox? would that be done plugging it into the
ethernet port on the pc as in the second one?

Have you tried the other onboard NIC?

If yes, can you connect the 360 directly to the PC and see what
happens? (go in and set the network to private when you do this).

Hi Barb,

I have tried the test and it passes all tests. I have unbinded also and no
luck still, it will not connect to my pc. it fails the test on the xbox. I
have however to get msn messenger working on vista ultimate had to disable
autotuning. not sure what else to do? ive allowed the xbox as an extender to
view and access all media on my pc.

first thing to do is to unbind IPv6

after you do that, does anything change?

then see
http://blogs.msdn.com/wndp/archive/2007/07/05/receive-window-auto-tuning-on-vista.aspx
especially the section on auto tuning and disable it as a test

also, can you run the tests at
