You need to know if the channel 73 output from Dish 622 is Cable or Air.
The frequencies are different.

You would then scan either cable signals or NTSC Antenna signals depending
on the setting of TV2 output on the Dish 622.

Be sure that the Dish Receiver is receiving a channel and is actually
outputting the TV2.

By The Way you can change the RF output to whatever channel you wish (within
a range) on the Dish 622 receiver. Just make the change with the remote 2.

Channel 73 output is cable, receiver is outputting the tv2 as I have
confirmed with connecting the cable to a TV instead of MCE 2005 and
changing channel on TV to 73.
I did try to change the channel that TV2 is outputting, but didn't see
a way to set it to 2, 3, or 4 which is what media center was showing
me in the set up TV signal screen

I don't see any option to change the TV2 output to a 2,3 or 4 wich is
what MCE shows

You should be able to Run the TV setup in MCE and specify Cable TV without a Set top box.
Analog tuners can tune cable or off the air frequencies.

I assume that you have a NTSC tuner in your Media Center Computer.

In the signal search MCE should find just the one Channel 73.
Connect the RF from VIP622 TV2 via a coax to the Analog input on MCE's tuner.
