ffdshow and Vista Media Centre

I donwloaded ffdshow rev1324. The first time I ran Media Player, I got
a popup asking whether I wanted this incompatible player to use
ffdshow. I said yes. It works find and I can adjust video setting to
improve picture quality.

Media Centre doesnt seem to be using the ffdshow codecs. For instance,
I make adjustements (such as postprocessing) and apply them only to
the right half of the screen. No difference.

Any ideas?
