I have the current Comcast Motorola HD cablebox, along with one of the newest
HP's Media Center PC's (m8020n). I can view my cable channel in the setup
preview on my Windows Media Center so I know the signal is present, I have
the remote control sensor cable attatched to my IR receiver on my cable box,
but I can't seem to get my Windows Media remote to change the channels on my
cable box via the IR remote control sensor like it's supposed to - even after
numorous attempts to "re-learn" the cable remotes programming code. Anybody
know what the problem is? I'm getting very frustrated. Thanks in advance!

Can you see the IR 'bug' flashing when you change channels on the MCE remote control?

If you can, two things to try,
First try plugging the 'bug' into the other jack on the back of the MCE IR box.

Second move the 'bug' around on the front of the Comcast Motorola HD cablebox, the IR sensor is not always where you think it is.
