I think OP is saying that Pinnacle Studio is supposed to down-convert the
content, like making a DVD into a SVCD.

I think the OP said that he has a standard DVD/CD burner, not a HD Burner.

I believe that is where his problem is coming from. He is trying to burn a
HD DVD or HD content on a standard DVD burner.

Pinnacle Studio 11.1 is capable of editing and burning HD content, IF you
have a HD burner.

This is User's Forum, there is no "you guys" here. This is not an
official Microsoft site, everyone on this board is just a users of
Windows Media Center like you. There are some independent MS Partners and
Consultant (and probably a few MS employees even) that come here to
answer and ask questions, but none officially.

You said that you are using Pinnacle Ultimate 11.1 and it won't burn a
standard DVD correctly. While it is possible that someone else on this
board may be familiar with that software and will have a possible
solution, I'm not sure how this is related to Media Center.

It still seems you would find more help, if you can find a Pinnacle
user's forum.

Yes, of course. The Pinnacle "Knowledge base" site page said to contact
you
guys. That's how I found out how to contact you. It's a UDF 2.5 (2.0)
problem/MSN. I need the UDF 2.5 for x32 MSN Service Pack 2.

Have you checked with either HP or Pinnacle on this problem, it doesn't
sound like something to do with the Windows Media Center.

System info: Windows Media Edition (4gb ram, Nvidia 7950gt) 2005 with
a
Lighscribe Technology DVD /CD writer 200 gb & 400gb HD. The Pinnacle
Studio
Ultimate 11.1 version is supposed to burn HD-DVD & Bluray AVCHD moive
data
onto a normal DVD. It works for some people, just not me. Please
give me
a
link to the HOTFIX I need. Thanks,

Is your Burner designed to burn BR or HD DVDs or it is just a normal

burner for use only with standard DVD formats?

I have a problem with my computer and Duo BluRay/HD-DVD players not
recognizing my burned DVD. I have a Sony HDR SR1 camcorder
1440x1080i
and
it
uses AVCHD software. My HP a1646x media center can burn the hd-dvd
or
avchd
to dvd but then I can't play it. Also, the hd-dvd movie burned
onto the
dvd-rw (memorex single layer) doesn't show any KB/data through
Windows
Explorer. I was directed over to this blog, any HOTFIXES?????????
Thanks,
Glenn
