Is your Burner designed to burn BR or HD DVDs or it is just a normal DVD burner for use only with standard DVD formats?

I have a problem with my computer and Duo BluRay/HD-DVD players not
recognizing my burned DVD. I have a Sony HDR SR1 camcorder 1440x1080i and it
uses AVCHD software. My HP a1646x media center can burn the hd-dvd or avchd
to dvd but then I can't play it. Also, the hd-dvd movie burned onto the
dvd-rw (memorex single layer) doesn't show any KB/data through Windows
Explorer. I was directed over to this blog, any HOTFIXES?????????
