Re-run TV Setup and ensure that your tuner is detected correctly. If not, go to Control Panel, Device Manager and ensure that there are no errored out hardware devices. And last, but not least, check the manufacturer's site for your tuner card and make sure you have the latest Media Center compatible drivers for your tuner card.

today my media center states that "some of the files needed to play the radio
or video are missing or corrupt" I can play the radio and live tv. I cannot
record or see any of my recordings .the recording button is faded. I cannot
even get to check the recorder storage -it freezes. Any suggestions to
