Ok see if I understand what you want to do.
You have an old hard drive that is too small to hold all your music
files.
So you bought a 500 GB hard drive and want to transfer your music to the
new
hard drive.
What I do not understand is why you want to transfer your Operating
System
to the new drive.
In the first place you can not do that without special software or to
reinstall the OS and programs.
You can however keep your old hard drive and just add the new drive into
the
computer.
You can then store your music files on the much larger drive and still
run
your system as before.
The new drive would show another drive letter in My Computer and Windows
Explorer,
MCE can be configured to use the new drive for recorded TV and Videos. It
is
just change a setting in MCE.

center
on the new drive I need step by step instructions thank you thank you

you thank you
Not really sure what you are asking, do you want to put the OS (Window
Media
Center) on the new drive? If so, you need to reinstall it to that
drive.
If you just want to transfer your music to the new drive, just cut and
paste, or safer, copy it first, make sure it's all there and playable,
then
delete it.

Please add your comments below the greater than marks (>). It makes it hard
to find the new comments.
I do not understand why or even how you managed to delete the files you
copied from the old location from the new location at the same time you
deleted the files at the old location.
The correct way is Open Windows Explorer. Navigate to the old location,
select the folder(s), and files you want to copy. Then on the Edit menu,
Copy (or you press Ctrl+C). Navigate to the new location, Edit menu, Paste.
(or you press Ctrl+V).
That will make copies of the files. Be sure that where you go to delete to
old files that you do not have to newly copied file selected, press Delete.
That will move the deleted files into the Recycle bin (if there is enough
room).
If you use Cut, that copies the files to the new location and deletes them
from the old location in the same action. It is safer to Copy then delete
after you have confirmed the files transferred OK.
