Hi Xiowan,
It's rarely a good idea to let System Restore monitor partitions/drives other than the one Windows is installed on. In this case System Restore wouldn't monitor movie/TV files. By the way, what file type are the TV files?
You should not see any performance difference. There will web a disk space saving after disabling the non-windows partitions/drives. If you choose to turn monitoring back on, there should be now ill effect, but there's no need to monitor them anyway.
Here are some tips on adjusting disk space usage and keeping System Restore healthy:

Hello Bert Kinney:.
I have a MCE2005 pc with 7 hard drives, of which 5 contain only recorded tv shows and are full. Would it be an advantage to quit monitoring those 5 drives?
Curious if it would speed up anything or save space? If I did quit monitoring these storage volumes and later re-stored the 2 monitored drives would there then be a problem in the operating system recognizing the unmonitored drives?

Has anyone at Microsoft ever thought about putting the reason in there?? Just saying that it cannot be restored is no help at all.
