I misunderstood that you only wanted to make this change apply when you were using MC to watch/play video in full screen mode since otherwise you would want it to be a space bar.

AFAIK If you change your spacebar key to always send CTRL+P then you will never have a method to enter a space in any text.

In DivX player the spacebar key is the default for pause. So, why can't I change it to that in MCE?
