Re: asus tv fm 7133(NTSC)

I looked through your user's manual using the link you provided.
I noticed that you have a hybrid analog and DVB-T card. Note MC will only support one of these tuners without a TV Setup configuration change I suggest that you connect to the DVB-T tuner and try it.
The manual states that the tuner does support MCE, however, since no detailed specs were in the User's Manual I am guessing that MCE will only support the DVB-T tuner since the DVB-T signal is already MPEG2 encoded. This is also the most common scenario with hybrid analog DVB-T tuner cards and MCE.

Well, Im not sure yet if my card meet the mce requirements, what I can tell
you is that I install the driver from here :
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us
if you cant see the driver, then in the options you select first multimedia,
then tv turner or so, finally asus tv fm..., then installed it and some other
sw that i found there and within that software i was able to watch tv, thats
why I assume the card meets the requirements, thanks, I will try what Doug
Knox told me, thanks btw if you can read this, Ill try it and then Ill let
you all know

Are you sure that you Asus card has a driver for MCE. I could not find one
and that usually means that the card and its driver do meet the MCE
requirements. I could not find a detailed description so I could not see if
the card has an onboard MPEG2 encoder chip normally required for support of
MCE drivers.
