Media Centre Crashes on opening (Vista)

Hi,

I have windows vista ultimate. when i open windows media centre, it will open for maybe 20 second then crashes. no error codes are given. the same thing happens when windows picks up my xbox 360 and i tell windows to add media extender. The ehshell.crash file shows the following errors below. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
