It only serves the rights of the big movie and record producers
It makes it very hard for an honest person to backup media that you own.

I found this is just more Microsoft DRM crap after all and MANY people are
having the same problem mostly with MCE 2005 , why it just decided to
happen
to me after YEARS of use I have no idea , maybe it was my CPU upgrade.

BUT I installed a program called GB-PVR and it works without problems and
with an excelent picture to boot!!

I almost canceled my cable subscription for FIOS today because of this , I
have REAL problems and really didn't need this petty BS this week , its
really a joke to buy a media center PC just to get a warning about
protected
content that you pay for , I mean does anyone think about this?

is it me or is the world just getting very strange...in a bad way

Thanks guys ,

One of the soultions I found was to delete my DRM folder and then
rebuild
it but I am just not feeling too good about that , I will take your
suggestions under advice.

It would not be that big of a deal but I just like to have a TV going
while
I surf and read my news and the Vista MCE was working soo nice I just got
used to it.

I do not have a digi box in this room just an extra connection , but i
was
thinking about getting one for pay channels but if they will they work??
I
will try my didgi box in here and see what happens.

I truly hope it is just a problem from the AMC network , unfortunatly I
don't know anyone in my area that has Vista/mce/liveTV that can test it
for
me.

thanks again.

Rob, to watch "restricted" content in MCE, you will need to have SETUP
to
NOT use the Cable box setting, but just use the Cable setting and keep
MCE
on channel 3. Now you can change the channel using the set top box
using
its remote. However, you won't be able to record using this method but
at
least you can watch it. ;0)
