Does everything work ok if you Launch MC in a Window and keep it in a window instead of using full screen mode.
MC has the ability to change the output resolution to 640x480 and so it can use its special 10 foot user interface fonts and it appears that this is not working correctly.
What happens if you use 720p instead of 1080i with your desktop resolution set to 1280x720 instead of to 1920x1080?

Sorry I guess I was clear.
The computer outputs fin to the Tv at 1080 in Hi Def wide screen using the
Component Video output from the Nvida Card. The Second display is diabled and
not active. You can use the NVIDA properties to adjust the screen for under
oversacn . The display works fine this way. I can View a DVD using Win DVD OR
Windows Media Player. I can play the Amazing Nvidia Pure video HD clip or the
HD samples from Microsoft. The Shapeness and clarity is amazing. It plays
full widescreen and in HD quality. The Tv recognizes the input as 1080i. If I
were to change the resolution the tv notices that also.
The problem is that when Media Center is launched " Ya no that green button
on the remote" All hell is screwwwed up. The image reverts to a little 4:3
letterbox box. If you go into the menu to set up TV in MCE it will allow you
to choose 1080 widescreen. I do .. Then I click next and then it tries to
sync but reverts back to the little letter box. The tv still shows a 1080
input. I then close out of MC and the Screen stays at that little letterbox.
The entire windows session is in this little letterbox. I go into properties
of XP and it shows the resolution at 1024x768. I change it and it does not
revert back properly. The settings are to make changes without rebootting. I
need to reboot inorder to get the screen back .
My feeling is there is some conflict that Media center has with the video
card. I bet it thinks that 1080 is not possible. If that was the case I would
not be able to have a fullscreen output in XP without pushing the green
button. MC is doing something That Xp is OK with. I'm sure there is a work
around. It could be unique to this AGP card. Nvidia say they never heard an
issue like this. They also said the component output is ok and seems to be
the most used by folks.
I don't know ???

Can you run MC in a Window and expand the window to almost full size?
Before you close MC what happens if you take MC out of full screen mode
using the restore down icon?
