The keyboard shortcut Alt, Enter and the Start (keyboard) button will open Media Center
Or use your mouse to double click any shortcut to the ehshell.exe program in the ehome directory within your Windows directory.

I just did a complete restore of Windows XP Media Center
Edition to my Toshiba laptop. (someone else messed it up
terribly). I would like to have the MCE interface come up
with my mouse or keystrokes. In the manual it says
"Press the START button on the remote to launch Media
Center". Can this be accomplished any other way? I
would like to determine if the restore process installed all
the software including the MCE stuf from my Toshiba
restore DVD.
thanks,
charles......
