What's the exact make and model of the tv tuner card?
Chances are, there are more updated drivers than what Dell is providing,
which is what my brother is suggesting you look for...
The error you see is usually indicative of an issue with the drivers, in
which case, an update version of the driver would help you. But without
knowing the EXACT model of the tv tuner, it's difficult to point you
toward
the correct drivers to use.

It's the Dell Windows XP Media Remote Kit & TV Tuner and downloaded the
latest drivers.

Have you tried updating your tv tuner card drivers?
Dell has been notorious for shipping out of date tv tuner drivers that
were
problematic.

I have MCE 2005 set up on a dell GX270. Every few days, it will
display
an
error "Video failed to record - retry - cancel - help" When I hit
retry
it
continues to fail and the only way to resolve it is resetting the
PC.
Question: How can I setup my MCE2005 to auto-reboot every day at a
certain
time?
Also, I noticed now and then it shutsdown automatically and the logs
show
nothing. For example, it will shutdown at night one day and
doesn't
do
it
for a few days, really strange and not consistant. Any ideas?
Thanks
in
advance.
