OEM's are required to provide some method of recovering the PC to its out of
box condition. This can be:

1) Physical media on CD or DVD
2) A recovery partition on the hard disk.

Most newer PC's that use option 2, also include a utility to allow you to
create the physical CD/DVD media, once, just for the case where a hard disk
dies. If your PC came with that functionality, and you didn't use it,
then....... If not, then you should be able to complain to the PC vendor
and ask for physial media.

And while I do not condone software piracy, you could always use available
tools like uTorrent or LimeWire to find a downloadable image. Since you
already have a valid CD Key, I would not consider this piracy, since you're
using your own legitimate key to activate. Using a key that you download
with the image, or by itself, however, would be piracy.

Much better to borrow a legitimate set of CDs rather than download an image of unknown provenance.
If you told us your location perhaps someone reading this would volunteer?

I see on Ebay that the price of MCE 2005 is under 70 pounds so you could always buy that copy the
disks & then resell it as box opened but unused. Your cheapest option would be to buy an Ugrade
version of Vista Home Premium for 50 pounds & do the Vista Full Install Upgrade Trick which in your
case would be quite legitimate as you would be upgrading an MCE 2005 machine
