Nicholas,
Can you be a bit more specific as to what you did? I am not sure how an
account
is set up manipulate the download of the guide. I just figured it was the
account
underwhich I set up MCE.
I'm having this same problem. I've spent a boatload of cash to set up a
beautiful
media center and now I can't get the guide due to this error. I'd
appreciate your
feedback.

So I seem to have figured this out..
I had changed the the media center services to log on as a different user.
This seemed to cause the download of the EPG to fail, not sure what the
services require when you change the user they run under but when I changed
the services back to the default log on the EPG downloaded without problem.
Thanks.

When Vista Media Center attempts to download the EPG I receive error 13 in
the user interface as well as in the event viewer. If I go into
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\eHome\EPG\tracehelper and look at
DefaultDomain-Nicholas.xml everything seems to be going along fine until a
group of errors (see bottom of post).
The really annoying part of this is that I was getting the EPG fine until a
few days ago. I haven't noticed anything in the event viewer that would
indicate why this stopped all of a sudden.
Any ideas or comments appreciated. I have already tried the suggestions here
http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/articles/526231.aspx items 1.(had this problem
but resovled, but did not resolve EPG issue), 2., 3. (doesn't apply), 4., 5.,
7.
Didn't try 6 as I have no idea of .net framework version in Vista.
