Thanks for the responses. I did another search yesterday and discovered that
it's the Crystal XP Brico pack (apparently). My partner has the same Crystal
XP package and has installed the same updates without the problem, so I'm not
sure... Haven't had BSOD yet (fingers crossed!)

AVG 7.5 was recently added to the list of things supposedly fixed by
KB935448. No sign of the Calculator though.

Thanks, sorry I wanted a proper contact Microsoft not just a generic
feedback
form, although I have filled it in. The new updates haven't solved the
problem which is very irritating. I don't have anti-virus protection and
my
calculator doesn't work. Is there going to be another patch released?

I followed the link you gave and there was a contact form at the bottom
of
the page. Please use it to let them know of the issues.

I read this morning that the fix to last Tuesday's patch will be pushed
out
tonight as a part of Patch Tuesday. So if there's still problems with
it, I
assume there will be a patch for _that_ next week <g>.

Evening all.

This patch fixed the problem with RTHDCPL.exe

HOWEVER,

It has not fixed the same issue with AVG Anti Virus or Microsoft
calculator
(not sure what other programs are having issues - calculator was only
discovered on wanting to use the application, whereas AVG is on
startup).
There is not contact microsoft option on this article
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925902
so am posting here in the vain hope that someone in the know will read
it.
Many thanks
