Re: 2nd tuner

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

There are Vista specific drivers for Media Center and the 150. If they weren't installed by default, they're on Windows Update.

Thanks for staying with me on this. I have just been able to install the
PVR 150 drivers etc. Apparently the dvd wouldn,t play but i installed from
the files in explorer leaving Beyontv out, and for now, Movie Factory. I
will buy and try a PCIe tuner because they told me at the store that it wld
increase my graphics which now only score 3.5 on the Windows Vista test. I
can alwys take the tuner back if it dosen,t work. Thanks again.

You say that "if i don,t have any spare slots". Wouldn,t the empty PCI
Express slot i referred to above be a 'spare slot'?. Incidentally, it just
ocurred to me after i deleted "Beyondtv" ( Initially when i opened the PVR
150 package and started playing enclosed the dvd-rom, i stopped and ejected
it after it was installing Beyondtv) but have since discovered that it
contains drivers etc. However, when i now try to play it i get the message
"Windows Media Center Receiver Service stopped working and was closed" and
the dvd wouldn,t play. Very frustrating.
