Re: What do I need for Premium Channels....

And this article written by MVP Barb Bowman will walk you through the setup. Its written for dual tuners, but is fine for installing just one, as well.

and where do I get them? What is an 'IR receiver', 'IR Bugs'? What is
an 'MCE remote'?

Please understand: I've talked to HP, My cable provider, Best Buy and
Circuit City - NO ONE knows about this stuff. So if Tech support
reps from Hewlitt-Packard don't even mention an 'IR receiver' and 'IR
Bugs' or know about these, then please understand that I do not
either.

Thanks for further clarification, Frank

Simply put, you need one of these:

Hi -
I'm on Vista Home Premium and cannot get my set up box configured
in Windows Media. I'm on an HP media/TV PC with a Hauppauge WinTV
PVR PCI II (26xxx). I get a message 'IR Hardware Not Detected'
whenever I try to go through my digital cable box to the computer.

Do you have an MCE remote control? Have you connected the IR bugs to
the USB IR reciever and stuck them onto the front of your cable box?
