Removing and Adding back channels solved - Guide Conflicts & DST

YES, this seems to work. I have been messing with this for many hours off
and on. Why the heck didn't they know this was a problem and have a fix or
at least put this patch fix on the Daylight savings page.

Chalk up another successful fix by removing/re-adding channels in the
guide settings. Pretty much the same as changing your listings to a
different zip/postal code but a bit easier. My hat is off to Randy
for this one.. thanks for all the time you put into figuring this
out.

And a big ol' moon to Microsoft for not having a fix for this or
having tested for this in the first place. For shame.

PS: Have never had a problem with a Daylight Savings change like this
before with MCE 2005.

@ Jason: Yes I have installed that update, restarted twice on Saturday, once
on Sunday. general time is correct, though the relationship on
Series/Recordings is an hour off from EPG.

@ everyone: A FIX! well one person got it to work...... I will test when i
get home.

Go into channel edit, and "clear all" channels. Put a couple back in like
news channels or something, just so it's not zero channels.
SAVE that, and watch you CPU in Task Manager until it stops grinding away.
Then go look at "scheduled recordings" and it should be empty.

Then go edit your channels and "select all" or whatever channels you
want/have.
SAVE that, and all your recordings come back with the times synced again.

I think there should have been a seperate patch for MCE that would
refresh/resync the times and recordings to the EPG and the timezone change.
Something didn't fix itself like it should.

Same but different, for me the guide is off also in addition to that the
scheduled shows are off. The guide is set an hour earlier (the shows are
correct just the time is shifted one hour earlier)
ie.prev. show set for 7pm is now it shifted to 6pm as is the entire shed.
now) I'm in LA. I just changed my clock to 1 hour earlier to match the
listing and the schedule, till I could figure this out, so Now things are
recording at the correct time, just tricked it temp I guess.

Zap2it is the correct time sched. on the web site so it isnt' that.

None of the things mentioned worked: deleting the history; the idea of
noticing show that weren't already sched'D to record would be the correct
time in the info(not here eveything is Shifted 1 hr earlier.

I noticed this was the case before the DST went into effect. When I was
confirming the sched. of the sun. morning news shows(on sat evening)(I
usually have to change one of them, so I usually check them and don't know
when it actually happened(maybe the latest guide download several days
ago).

I was going sys date up the several weeks ahead but the guide is only 14
days and the orig DST isn't for 3 weeks. (maybe it will resolve by then)(I
just didn't want to screw with this for 3 weeks)(leave it to ms for
producing
such a fine product, I guess we are all still using mce 2005 BETA)
I didn't want to have to wipe everything unless I had to do it.

I am having crazy conflict issues with the MCE Guide for recording now
that
DST is active. If I look at the programing guide, it tells me that 24
will
be on @ 9 pm (EST/DST) 3/12/07 (Which is the correct broadcast time).
Problem is the recorder states that it will record @ 10 pm that same
night.
Even if I remove the recording and reset it, 10 pm keeps poping up. On
another night, I have 2 program set to record. One starts @ 8pm in the
guide
and the other as 9 pm in the guide (the correct broadcasting times).
Within
the recording menu, both are set to record @ 9pm (thus causing a
conflict).
Funny thing is that one of the programs states 9 pm and is set to record
@
9pm (contridicts what is happening with 24).

I have over 22 programs set to record over the next 14 days that are all
out
of wack. Is anyone else experiencing the same issues? (By the way, all
MCE
and DST patches are up-to-date).
