I am quite sure you are correct.
However, the MCE versions comes with the "MCE upgrade kit" which may
include separate drivers for MCE as well as including an MCE remote.
It also appears that version of this card that includes the MCE upgrade Kit
is similiar to the Hauppaut 1600 in that they both appear to have a separate
driver for the analog tuner and a separate driver for the digital tuner so
that they appear to the MCE OS as two separate cards and not as a hybrid
card with a single driver that can use only one of the tuners at a time.

I'd bet these are the same card.

"In Windows Media Center users can watch and record two live programs
simultaneously."
The Haupauge HVR-160 which I have installed and working with both tuners
is a similar design but PCI. The info for both were confusing at release
possibly because MCE support for both tuners may still have been an issue
with early drivers. All the better because I picked one up for 69.99,
likely because the package design suggested no MCE support.

This is the only description of the card I could find easily and note
that it says nothing about working with any version of Media Center, only
with Avermedia's own software.

The card has two separate tuners and a MPEG2 encoder for the analog
signal so it should work just fine for both at the same time. If you
haven't already, download and install the latest driver for your
operating system from Avermedia. Because it is a recently released tuner
the driver supplied with the card may not work properly. Also you need
only install the drivers and skip installing the Avermedia extra
software.
I just installed a similar card offered by Hauppauge the HVR 160 that
has a analog and digital tuner and was up and running within 5 minutes
of installing the most current drivers.

according to this page, the tuner should be able to record 2 shows at
a time, so what do you mean?
http://support.gateway.com/s/vidcard/AVerMedia/6008061R/6008061Rfp.shtml
"Watch a previously recorded show while two shows are recording at the
same time, on two different channels (One Analog & one Digital) "
If there is something I need to do that you see, please let me know.
thanks
