The info in the ehomeupgrade article is accurate.

My opinion is that S.Sengupta has assisted many people here and that
these posts are far from clueless.

I donn't see why you think that an interview that is over a year old has anything to do with what is actually happening today. But since most of your posts are clewless, not revelent, poorly reasearched or duplicates of previous posts I don't know why I think that you might have posted soemthing that is worthwhile to read.

What is 'OCUR' (Opencable Unidirectional Receivers)? How to get it. How to get cable cards?

With this, will XP MCE 2005 SP2 record HD?

Unfortunately, no.

The ATI TV Wonder HDTV side is ATSC only.
You'll need an OCUR setup with cable cards to record in HDTV without a set
top box.

I use Comcast cable service. On one of my system, I have comcast HD
setup box. And it works fine. Then I use Windows XP Media Center 2005
to connect to the comcast cable directly without the setup box. So, I
can record SD channels. After getting used to watch HD, SD recording
is really bad. A friend of mine use a HD TV tuner directly without the
setup box, he can watch HD channels just fine, like 2 is ABC, on his
TV, 2_1 will be HD ABC. So, I did a search and found ATI TV Wonder
650. Looks like it could record HD. So, my question is will this card
work with Comcast Cable without Setup box? Can I use Media Center TV
Recording software to schedule recording directly?- Hide quoted text -

Thanks for the info.
