Re: MCE upgrade problem

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Cookies are considered spyware by many anti-spyware programs. That scan was
probably what deleted your bank's cookie. The program might also have put in
a cookie blocker or changed security settings to block cookies. Not sure if
a System Restore will recover a deleted cookie but it should remove any new
blocking software or registry setting that might be blocking your bank's
cookie now. Try going back to the day before you ran the Bellsouth spyware
program.

Thank for reply. No I just open brower, locate saved bank url, enter ID
and
password and I am usually connected to my bank. Now each time they
challenge
me and I have to give previously established secret words. Then I can
enter.
Called bank they said their on line system does not recognize my computer
anymore, did I get a new one or what. Answer no. The only other recent
software tweak besides the WMP 11 was a one time Bellsouth (my ISP) offer
to
d/l and run a free spyware/virus program. Which I did.

Have you reinstalled any online banking software, or is it just thru the
browser? Do you have IE 7 or 6, or FireFox?

To install Windows Media Player 11, I was first required to install
KB900325
and KB925766. WMP 11 works but now my online bank says they do not
recognize
my computer. A cookie lost or something must have occurred. I have a
Sony
VGC-RA828G, MCE Windows XP. Help
