Re: Live TV probelm - freezes when i pause

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

All I can suggest is that you update your Video Adapter Driver from either
Windows Update > Custom, or from the Link on this page:

OK. just to recap...

You have been having this problem for a few weeks and before that it
worked
fine.

When you press Pause then Fast Forward, LiveTV doesn't Fast Forward as
you
expect. In fact, LiveTV freezes, and the only way you can resolve the
problem is to ShutDown Media Center and Start it up again.

This happens when you watch LiveTV on the Computer, but Recorded TV
doesn't
have this problem (as you have indicated in the title of your original
post).

Does the problem occur when you use the either the Mouse or the Remote
Control?

the only way i can get out of the freeze is to shut down the program
and
reopen it.

i am watching live tv on the computer.

and no it doesn't happen on recorded tv, thats why i put live tv
problem.
thanks for the respone.

Hi mikel,

This could be more serious than I thought. Sorry about my previous
post... a
bit flippant, but I couldn't help but see something humourous in the
title
of your post.

How are you able to get out of the "freeze"? Resume Normal Speed?
Shutdown
Media Center? or Reboot?

Are you watching LiveTV on the Computer or an Extender? Can you use
the
Mouse, or does everything freeze?

Does the same thing happen with Recorded TV?

ok, upon further inspection i have found that the problem doesn't
occur
when
i pause, but only when i pause and then fast forward. If I just
resume
after
pausing I have no problem, but as soon as i fast-forward to get back
to
the
current live feed it just freezes the feed completely which really
puts
a
huge damper on using the program for me.

Hey guys, i've been having this problem with my wmce for a few

now,
it
was working fine before. When I pause the live feed, and then try
to
fast
forward, or resume it just sits there and won't go back to live tv.
Even
when
i change the channel same thing. Any help would be appreciated.
thanks
in
advance!

I am running a Dell Dimension E310
Windows XP / Windows Media Center Edition
