my hard drive has 160GB and Iam using HP ( a630n) XP sp2, well the disk
space on my C drive shows that I have 3GB left and all my files are 58GB
so
there is about 80GB missing. It all started we I done a system recovery
then
I lost all my files on my computer but their space still there even though
the files are not there. I have tried to uninstall sp2 then install it
again
I lost 4 GB. what is the solution to that.

Check to see the actual partition usage in *** management (right click 'my
computer' and select 'manage', then click 'disk management').
If the whole 160gb is used for the c drive, treesize,
http://www.jam-software.com/freeware/index.shtml, can show you which folders
all the space is used up by.
If system restore is eating up loads of space and things seem ok, free up
the space by turning it off and on again.
