Re: CD and DVD burning

Hi Jason,

Have you ever tried, as a humble consumer, to get disc 2 of the Media Center
2005 install set?

It would be on the second CD of your Media Center (not XP Pro) install
discs.

If you don't have media center install discs, see if your computer
manufacturer left the contents of install discs on the hard drive.

I entered the CD and DVD in the CD Rom drive. It does not read
either. I
erroneously unclicked the Sonic CD and DVD Burning in the ADD/REMOVE
WINDOWS
COMPONENETS. When I clicked the checkmark to attempt to reinstall it,
I
get
the following message: THE FILE 'Author Script.dll' ON WINDOWS XP
PROFESSIONAL CD 2 IS NEEDED.
How do I resolve? Do I need to purchase Windows XP Pro to reinstall
the
drive?

If I upgraded to Windows XP Pro or Windows Vista, will this also solve
this
problem?

Wouldn't you prefer the simpler & cheaper solution?
