Re: File Sharing Problems

I just upgraded my hard drive in my laptop (higher capacity) and now for some reason, no one can access files on my machine. They see the directories that I am sharing, but can not access them. I can view their files from my laptop but not the other way around. I am running Xp Pro and the other machines are running xp home. Everything worked fine until I upgraded the drive (or so it seems). Maybe something got corrupt...dont know

Please help

Double check: did you *really* remember to share them after the upgrade?

If that's the problem, just laugh a little and go on abut life :-)

Otherwise, it might be a good idea to unshare the folders and re-share them, in case the process of upgrading the disc confused the sharing mechanism. Like pointers not properly updated when you cloned the old drive to the new one...
