Thank you for the links.
I was not aware that a Hauppauge software encoder was incorporated into
the MCE driver for the analogtuneror the video input to the card.

However the question is. Is the analogtunersupported using the Media
Center application of MCE205 or just when using the Hauppauge
WinTV2000
application and I don't think it is since hybrid cards are permitted
to
claim MCE support if only one of the tuners(normally only the digital)
can
run with the Media Center application. The only exception I know of
is
the
ATI 650 for North America is one card that has both analog
support(with
an
encoder chip) and an ATSCtunerfor digital support and the driver for
the
card will support use of both tuners at the same time.
Yes, both analogue & digital portions of the Hauppauge hybrid cards
can
be used
in MCE. Of course as MCE only supports one EPG you have to make the
choice as to
whether you want analogue or digital when first you run the MCE setup.
This quite clearly stated in the links that I posted
http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/pages/products/data_hvr1100mce.html
http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/pages/Promotions/vista.htm
I suspect that the Hauppauge hybrid cards are convenient for MCE OEMs
as
they
can supply the same hardware configuration whether the end user will
be
wanting
to use analogue TV capture or DVB-T.
