Re: Sound and Picture Quality Problems

It's always better to update the drivers/decoders from the concerned manufacturing websites.Just visit the sites of the decoders/TV Tuner card you have and get things updated.

no i haven't, but i have decoders on here and they should be fine. they have been since i haven't had a problem with them anyway.
and i guess the only thing i can do is remove all my hardware and re-install it. i don't know what update messed this up, but its driving me crazy

Have you ever tried NVIDIA PureVideo Decoder software? It's a very good one.You can try this,it's a trial software and the trial version of the software and will run for 30 days.

Also download and install Windows XP Video Decoder Checkup Utility, with this You can change the preferred decoder.

After the monthly critcal updates on tuesday, my audio and picture quality is bad.
sound is jerky and squeaky and video has bars of green filling the screen and its intermitten. thinking that they need new drivers i updated them. nothing happened. did a restore point and nothing, same problem. its really frustrating.
any fix?
