That will most likely solve your problem. You never stated what you
graphics card was so I did not suspect it till you just said that you also
have problems with DVDs.
If you still have problems with your new graphics card. Be sure and post
what make/model you got.

Unsure about the memory on the card. DXDIAG indicates ~800MB which must
mean from RAM ? (total of 2Gb)
Virtual memory = 2345Mb
DVD is not as choppy but has little stoppages and audio and video out of
sync
I bought a faster video adapter with 256Mb to try. Will post results.
Thank you.

How much memory with your X300 graphics?
How is your Virtual Memory set up?
Are DVDs played in MCE also choppy?

I just installed Vista Home Premium and everything works fine - no
performance issues whatsoever - until starting MCE. The video is choppy,
sluggish, jerky, etc., whether LIVE TV or recorded. In addition,
navigation thru the MCE menu ok at first, but slowly degrades until it
takes 20-30 seconds to change selections.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
