Just replaced video card with Radeon 1300 w/ 256Mb and that seems to do the trick.
The X300 had 128Mb - I did get a lone error message that it was <64Mb yesterday when I first initialized MC, which I knew could not be true.

How much memory with your X300 graphics?
How is your Virtual Memory set up?
Are DVDs played in MCE also choppy?

The video is choppy, sluggish, jerky, etc., whether LIVE TV or recorded. In addition, navigation thru the MCE menu ok at first, but slowly degrades until it takes 20-30 seconds to change selections.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
