Hi, My problem is twofold and it leads me to think its XP ?
Shortly after installing ie7, when opening ie a pop-up appeared declaring
buffer overun. This stops files being downloaded via websites and
browsing
becomes VERY slow.
Secondly in Outlook, email no longer sends or receives.
I have tested the pc on another network entirely and the same issues are
present so it doesn't appear to be the internet connection. The fact that
both apps have a connection problem ??
I have doen a virus scan, clean results. I am currently installing
defender
to see if any malware can be removed, also using MS malicious software
removal tool.
So far no change.
Can anyone advise what this could be ?
Thanks in advance.
The pop-up was likely generated by a particularly nasty piece of spyware.
Clean your machine.
